Example: 

Xylazine- Injectable anesthetic, comes in the concentrations:

            Small Animal: 20mg/ml

            Large Animal: 100mg/ml

 

Dosages- Different species require different dosages of Xylazine.

            Canine (Dog):        1.1 mg/kg (IV)

            Equine (Horse):   1.1 mg/kg (IV)

            Bovine (Cow):   0.05 mg/kg (IV)
