Environmental Science and Engineering (non-thesis option) - ESEN

The degree program in Environmental Science and Engineering (ESEN) curriculum is designed principally for students with undergraduate or master's degrees from an accredited curriculum in some related field of science such as Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics or Geology.  Also, applied fields such as Soil Science or Forestry and Wildlife are appropriate.  The objective is to provide students with technical training that is intermediate between those in science and engineering.

Civil with Environmental option - non thesis (CE)

Admission to the non-thesis Civil Engineering graduate program with the Environmental option presupposes graduation from an accredited undergraduate curriculum in Civil, Chemical, Biological Systems, Mechanical or Mining engineering as well as most other fields of engineering.  The Civil Engineering program is concerned with the areas of water and wastewater process engineering, natural systems engineering, geo-environmental engineering, air processing engineering, and the flexible option.

Commonwealth Campus Program

The Commonwealth Campus Program allows qualified students to enroll for a limited number of courses as a non-degree student.  An application and unofficial transcript have to be submitted to the university for review.  Commonwealth Campus students may later apply for admission to the Graduate School and utilize the credit hours toward the degree.

Certificate Programs

A Certificate of Advanced Studies program is being developed in Environmental Engineering.  Students possessing an M.S. degree or those who are just interested in taking a few courses may apply for a certificate program.  Certificates are awarded after successful completion of 4-5 graduate level courses.  Areas of study include:

          Treatment Process Engineering
          Water Quality Management
          Solid and Hazardous Waste Management
